About Kooka Publishing
Kooka Publishing specialises in wide panoramic, boutique postcards and posters of Australian landscapes. Our cards fill a
niche in the landscape souvenir market for high quality panoramic images together with some background information on the
featured region. They are more than a postcard but more economical than a book.
Our aim is to produce the highest quality landscape cards and posters in Australia. Our products endeavour to provide travellers
with more than a stunning picture of their destination but to also provide some insight into the history behind the landscape and
some background on the locals.
Kooka is an Australian owned and operated family business based on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland. Kooka started
operation in 2005 as the sister company to Kahu Publishing in New Zealand. Kahu New Zealand has been operating since 1993. Since
then the range of locations has been steadily growing and now our super fold out cards and posters are found from Cape Tribulation
to Kiama and out to the Red Centre.
All Kooka products are produced here in Australia including our printing, display stands and packaging
Stewart Coates and wife Ann Roche are the core of the Kooka team. Stewart is a professional geologist and photographer and spends
many hours planning each shot and then picking the perfect weather to capture that shot. Most shots are taken from a helicopter
during the winter months when conditions are favourable.
All Kooka customers are valued and offered personalised service. Orders are usually shipped the same day via Australia Post. Ann
visits all outlets at least once per year and most twice per year. Ordering is available online, via email, fax, or phone.
